Just landed in Alicante and bought the 5-day roaming add-on before I flew. Data still isn’t working and I’ve got full bars. I’ve restarted the phone twice. Do I need to do something else or has the add-on not kicked in yet?
Hi Megan, sorry about that. A couple of things to check: has mobile data roaming been switched on in your phone settings, and are you on Nexora network or did it try to connect to another network first? If you can let me know your handset model, I can guide you through the quickest fix.
Might sound daft but I had this once in Portugal. The add-on was active, but my phone was stubbornly hanging onto the wrong network. Try network selection on manual and pick one of the listed partners. Also, sometimes airplane mode on/off after switching works better than a reboot.
Thanks Leah, that’s spot on. Megan, if you go to Settings > Mobile Data > Network Selection and turn off automatic, you should see a few partner networks in Spain. Pick one, then try again. If it still doesn’t work, reply with your handset type and I’ll check the add-on status for you. This resolved my question.
