Anyone else getting this? Our Nexora broadband is fine in the day but from about 7pm it crawls. Streaming buffers, Zoom freezes, even loading news pages takes ages. Speed test just now was 18mb down on a package that’s meant to be much higher. I’ve rebooted the hub twice already. Is this just the usual evening slowdown or is there something actually wrong?
Yeah we had something similar last winter. Turned out our router was on a weird shelf behind the TV. Not saying that’s yours, but maybe check if the hub is getting hot? Evening slowdown can also be everyone in the street using it at once.
Hi Megan, sorry to hear that. Evening slowdowns can be caused by local congestion, Wi‑Fi interference, or a line fault. If you can, please post the current speed test results, whether the issue is on Wi‑Fi or wired, and roughly when it started. We can then advise whether it needs a network check or a home setup review.
Mine does this nearly every evening too. It’s like the internet goes on strike when people get home from work. Nexora keep saying ‘all looks normal’ but normal clearly isn’t 12mb at half seven.
