Renewal price has jumped more than expected on my broadband

Hi all, just had my renewal email through and the price has gone up quite a bit. I’m on the 18 month broadband deal and it says it ends next month. I was expecting a small increase, not nearly double. Is there any way to get a better contract renewal options offer without ringing up? I’d rather sort it online if possible. For context it’s broadband only, no TV, and I don’t need a faster speed, just something closer to what I’m paying now.

  • Hi Megan, I can explain how renewals work. When a minimum term ends, the monthly price usually moves to the standard rolling rate unless a new offer is accepted. We can’t apply every retention deal through the forum, but you may be able to view renewal options in your online account or app under Billing > Offers. If there’s nothing showing, the team can check what’s available when you contact them. If you want, I can also help you confirm whether your current contract end date is correct. This resolved my question for you if your main concern was why the price changed.
