Hi all, I’m moving out at the end of next month and I’m trying to cancel my Nexora broadband. I’ve looked in the app but it’s honestly not very clear to me whether I need 30 days notice or if it runs to the end of the billing month.
The account is in my name, it’s for flat 3, and I don’t want to get hit with another full month if I can avoid it. Can someone from Nexora confirm what notice I need to give? Also, if I give notice today does it matter that the moving date is 28th July?
Sorry if this is a basic question, I just don’t want to do it wrong.
Hi Liam, sorry for the confusion — I can clarify the process.
For most Nexora residential broadband packages, cancellation requires 30 days' notice. The service usually stays active until the end of that notice period, even if you move out sooner.
If you submit notice today, the cancellation date would normally be 30 days from the day we receive it, not the 28th July itself. If you want, I can point you to the exact cancellation form in your account so you can get it started.
Yep, I had the same thing last year. It’s the notice date that matters, not when you actually leave the property.
Mine was a bit messy because I left it until the week I moved and still got one more bill. If you can, do it sooner rather than later.
Just to add to Sam’s reply, if you’re in a minimum term there may also be an early termination charge, but that depends on your contract end date.
If you’d like us to check that for you, send the postcode on the account and the last 4 digits of the account number through the cancellation form. Don’t post them publicly here. Once notice is logged, you’ll get a confirmation by email.
Sorry to jump in, but does this also apply if it’s a broadband and TV bundle? I’m on a bundle and the last advisor told me something different about TV equipment return. Bit lost now.
Yes, bundle cancellations usually cover all services on the same agreement, but equipment returns can be separate.
If you return any Nexora TV box or router, you’ll normally get return instructions after cancellation is processed. The key thing is to make sure notice is accepted first. If you want, I can also explain how equipment returns are handled once your cancellation is confirmed.
Thanks both, that’s clearer now. I think I was expecting it to end on my moving date, which clearly isn’t how it works.
I’ll put the cancellation in today and see what date comes back. This resolved my question.
