Hi all, I’m trying to pick a broadband package for a 3-bed semi and I’m getting myself in a tangle. We’ve got 2 adults working from home 3 days a week, a teenager who games, and a smart TV that’s basically on all the time.
Nexora keeps showing me Fibre Essential, Fibre Plus and Fibre Max. The speeds look nice on paper but the prices jump around a lot once you add the hub and setup. I’m not sure if I actually need the fastest one or if it’s just a waste of money.
Has anyone compared them properly? I don’t want to overpay but I also don’t want buffering every evening. Cheers.
We went for Fibre Plus in a similar setup and it’s been fine. Two people on calls, one kid on a console, streaming in the evening. Unless you’re doing loads of huge downloads, I’d say don’t pay extra for Max just because it sounds better.
Only thing I’d watch is the contract length and the price after 24 months. That bit caught us out a bit.
