Hi all, I've had Nexora fibre broadband for about 6 months now and usually it’s fine, but over the last couple of weeks my internet speed has been dropping out completely for a few minutes at random times during the day. Restarting the router helps but it’s getting really annoying. Anyone else having this problem or know what to do? My package is the Fibre 100, and the signal indicator on the router doesn’t seem to change when it drops.
Hi Liam, sorry to hear about your connection troubles. Have you checked that the router’s firmware is up to date? Sometimes outdated firmware can cause intermittent drops. Also, are there any specific times when it happens or particular devices affected?
Hey Jess, thanks for replying. I haven’t updated the firmware myself, do you know how I can check this? The drops seem random, sometimes morning, sometimes evening, and all devices lose connection, not just one. No-one else on my street mentioned problems yet.
You can log into your router’s admin page by entering 192.168.1.1 in your browser and checking the firmware version there. If it’s outdated, there should be an option to update it. If you prefer, I can arrange a remote check from our side or send a replacement router if needed. Let me know what you’d like.
I tried logging in but it asked for a password I don’t know. The default one on the back of the router doesn’t work. Honestly, this is turning into a bit of a pain. Maybe a technician visit is needed? Appreciate the help so far.
