Has anyone had voicemail and call forwarding suddenly stop working together? I turned call forwarding on last night because I was going to be out of signal, and now people say it rings out once then drops. Voicemail never picks up either. I’ve tried switching the phone off/on and checking the Nexora app but it’s all a bit unclear. I’m on a mobile plan, if that makes any difference.
Mine did something similar when I’d set forwarding to a number I’d used ages ago. Worth checking if the forwarding destination is still right and if unconditional forwarding is on rather than no-answer. If it’s a mobile voicemail, sometimes it won’t engage if the line thinks it’s diverted elsewhere.
Hi MiaH87, sorry about this. A couple of things can affect voicemail when call forwarding is active. Could you confirm whether you’ve set forwarding for all calls, or just when busy/no answer? Also, is this happening on mobile voicemail or a Nexora landline service? If you’d rather not post details publicly, I can help you narrow it down step by step.
It’s mobile voicemail. I think I set it to forward all calls because I was rushing. I’ve got it on a SIM-only plan. When I dial voicemail it says there are no messages, but calls from my mum just ring and ring. No idea if I’ve broken something.
If it’s forwarding all calls, voicemail usually won’t catch them because the calls never reach your inbox. I had to turn mine off in settings and then reboot the phone. After that it worked again, although it took a few minutes to settle.
That sounds like the forwarding is taking priority over voicemail. Please try switching off unconditional call forwarding in your phone settings or via the Nexora app, then wait 10–15 minutes and test with one call. If you still want calls diverted when you can’t answer, set it to forward on no answer instead of forward all calls. If it still doesn’t work after that, reply here and I’ll escalate it for a network check.
