Hi, I requested a PAC transfer into Nexora on Monday and my old number still hasn’t moved over. I got a text saying it would be done within 24 hours but nothing’s changed. I’m now on a temporary number and it’s a bit of a pain because I need the old one for work. Can someone tell me what’s going on?
Hi Molly, sorry about the delay. PAC transfers can sometimes take a bit longer if the number is waiting on the donor network’s side. I can’t access account details here, but if you’ve already submitted the PAC through your Nexora account, the usual next step is to check for any error text in your message history and confirm the PAC hasn’t expired. If you can reply with the network the number is coming from and whether you were porting a mobile or landline number, I can point you to the right team.
Just to add, mine took nearly 2 days last month. I had to ask for a fresh PAC from my old provider because the first one had expired. Might be worth checking that, annoying as it is.
Thanks both. It’s from Giffgaff and it’s a mobile number. I did request the PAC through the app, but I haven’t had any error messages. I’ll check if it’s expired. If it has, do I need to start again?
