Hi all, hoping someone can explain this because I’m going round in circles. My account says I’m eligible for an upgrade on my mobile, but when I pick the phone it says out of stock. It’s been like that for 9 days now.
I’m on the 24-month plan, nothing weird with the account as far as I know. I just want to keep my number and move onto a new handset, but the site keeps letting me get right to the end and then bounces me out. Is this normal or is it actually stuck?
Hi MiaH87, thanks for posting and sorry for the runaround.
If the account shows upgrade eligible but the handset is out of stock, that usually means the finance side is fine but we’ve run short on that specific model/colour. The system can still let you start the order, then stop it at checkout if stock is unavailable.
If you don’t mind, can you tell me the handset model and colour you were trying to order? I can check whether it’s a temporary stock issue or a wider ordering problem.
Same thing happened to me last month with a black handset. I waited about a week and it came back. Not ideal, but the eligibility bit did update correctly for me. Might just be stock.
It’s the Nexora X9 in sage green. That’s the one I actually want, not a random colour. I’ve looked every day and it still says eligible, then unavailable when I try to place the order. Is there any point ringing up or is it the same thing everywhere?
Thanks MiaH87, I’ve checked the X9 sage green stock notes and that colour is currently on a restricted replenishment list. That means upgrade eligibility is correct, but this variant isn’t available to order just yet.
A couple of options:
- Choose a different colour if you want to upgrade now
- Keep an eye on the handset page, as stock can return without notice
- If you’d like, I can raise a stock callback request, but I can’t guarantee a date
If you want, send over whether you’d consider another colour and I’ll point you to the closest available option.
Ah right, that makes sense. I thought the website was bugging out. I’ll wait for the sage green to come back then — no point picking one I don’t want.
Please do not mark this as resolved yet though, I’m still going to keep checking because I really want that colour. But at least I know I’m not doing something wrong.
