Not sure if anyone else has had this, but my fibre install has been pushed back twice now. First it was meant to be last Thursday, then Monday, now I'm being told 'awaiting network readiness'. I work from home and I'm getting proper fed up. The order's for 14 Birch View, Leeds, LS7 3QF, and the reference I was given is NX-482913. Can someone tell me if this is ever actually going to happen?
Had something similar last year. In my case the street cabinet work wasn't finished, but they only told me after I'd taken the day off. Did they give you any reason at all or just keep changing the date?
Hi Mia, sorry about the repeat delays. I can see your install is currently waiting on external network completion rather than the home installation itself. That usually means the engineer can't fit you until the local fibre work has been signed off. I can't promise a date from here, but I can check whether a revised slot has been added and escalate if the delay has gone past the original window. If you'd like, reply with your order reference only and I can take a look.
Nexora did exactly this to us in October. We were told 'a few more days' for about three weeks. Ended up cancelling and getting a mobile router elsewhere. Not ideal but at least someone was honest eventually.
Thanks Sam. The message I got just said 'network readiness' and nothing else. If it's external work then fair enough, but nobody told me that before I booked the day off twice. I'll send the ref now. Really hoping this doesn't drag on for weeks.
Thanks Mia. I've checked the reference and the current note says the local fibre segment is still awaiting completion by the build team. The latest estimate has been updated to next Tuesday, but please treat that as provisional. If it slips again, we can log a formal complaint and look at compensation once installation is completed, subject to our terms. I know that's not the news you wanted, but at least it gives a clearer picture.
